On February 17, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 13 year old young offender after residents of the home where the accused was staying contacted police. It is alleged that the accused became upset and began to smash items in the home.

On February 17, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 13 year old young offender after residents of the home where the accused was staying contacted police. It is alleged that the accused became upset and began to smash items in the home. The accused spit on one person and threatened to stab two people at the home. The accused has been charged with assault, mischief and two counts of threatening. The accused will appear in bail court February 17. 

Just after 4:30 a.m. this morning, city police attended at a residence in the 1300 block of Peoples Road for a break and enter. Entry was gained but nothing was taken in the break in.

On the 13th of February a residence in the 1200 block of Queen Street East was broken into. Jewellery was taken.

On the 14th of February just after 1 am a homeowner in the 700 block of Pine Street was awakened by noises in the residence. They discovered someone was in the house and observed a person running from the residence and get into a vehicle. Items taken include a 42 inch television, an X-box 360, a lap top, X-box games and a beige bass guitar with a black strap were taken.

On the 14th of February a vehicle on St. Georges Avenue West was entered overnight. A Dewalt impact driver and drill combo 20 volt and carrying bag were taken. 

On the 14th of February a homeowner in the 500 block of Douglas Street reported a break and enter to their residence. A back and gold dress watch, several rings, costume jewelly and a pink Fuji camera were taken.

On the 14th of February during the daytime hours a residence in the 100 block of Albert Street West was entered. A 50 inch LG flat screen television and a Samsung tablet were taken.

On the 15th of February 2015 a homeowner on Stevens Street reported a break and enter. Electronics and jewellery were taken.

On the 15th of February Wolsley Mechanical reported a break and enter to their compound. Copper piping was taken.

On the 15th of February an attempt break and enter was reported to a home in the 400 block of North Street.

On February 16, 2015 at 10:25 p.m., police officers had occasion to stop a vehicle on Letcher Street. The driver was found to be wanted on outstanding warrants. Brandon Poirier, age 20 of Pine Shores Road, Goulais River was arrested and will appear in court on March 23, 2015. He faces charges of theft under $5,000 and failing to appear in court.

On February 16, 2015, police officers were called to a residence in the 300 block of Wellington Street West regarding an assault.  As a result of an investigation, Glen Allen Stevens, age 58 of no fixed address, was arrested for assault and breach of recognizance for failing to notify police of his change of address. He will appear in court on February 17, 2015. The victim received minor injuries.
