On the morning of December 29, 2015, a break and enter was reported to a business in the 200 block of Queen Street East. An undisclosed amount of money was reported stolen.
On the afternoon of December 29, 2015 patrol officers arrested and charged 26 year old Christopher FAHRER of Thessalon, ON with Theft Under $5000. It is alleged that FAHRER was at a business in the downtown area and was observed to conceal $70 in makeup and leave the store making no attempt to pay for the items. He will be appearing in court February 1, 2016.
On December 28 at 7 p.m. an unknown culprit kicked in the man door to the garage of a residence on Softwood Drive. It did not appear anything was taken.
