SENIORS COMPLAIN OF THEFTS
Early yesterday evening the City Police received two complaints of thefts from seniors. The thefts took place at an apartment building in the 200 block of Albert St.E. In the incidents a male person went to the victims' apartment door and stated that he was there at the request of the building manager to check window security. The victims allowed the culprit access and subsequently he stole two wallets from two tenants.

The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 35-40 years of age, 6’2” – 6’4”, short hair, goatee, he was wearing a baseball cap, a short navy blue jacket, blue pants and white “Sorell” type boots. He was also carrying a note pad and pencil.

Anyone having any information on this suspect is asked to contact the City Police Investigative Services.

Apartment tenants are advised not to allow any unknown persons into their apartment. If a person is attending to do security checks or building maintenance make sure that the building manager or superintendent accompanies the worker.

Most buildings will give tenants prior notice of upcoming inspections/ repairs. If the worker does not have the superintendent/manager present refuse entry. Also it’s a good idea to ask for photo identification (write the info. down).
