THREATENED EX-GIRLFRIEND
A 41-year-old male will appear in bail court this morning after his ex-girlfriend called city police early this morning. Around 1:30 am it is alleged that the male called the complainant 9 times in a row, before she answered the phone. When she did answer the phone the male threatened to kill her.
The complainant hung up on the accused, who then called her back and told her to call the police. A few minutes later the male was at the complainant’s residence and started banging at her door.
At the time of the offence he was on a probation order with conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the victim. He has been charged with one count of threatening death and 2 counts of breach of probation.
DROPPED HIS PANTS
20-year-old Jeffery Gary Gardner of 16 Terry Fox Place will appear in bail court this morning after police responded to a call to a store in city’s east end last evening.
It is alleged that the accused exposed his buttocks to the store clerk while he was outside of the store, and then entered the store and dropped his pants again, this time exposing his genitals to the store clerk.
The accused then exited the store and tried to engage a male in a fight. When this male refused to fight Gardner spit on him. The accused then attempted to engage another male to fight, and when this male also refused, the accused punched a car in the lot leaving a dent in the hood.
The accused fled the scene but was apprehended in the area by the police shortly after they were called. When the officers went to take Mr. Gardner into custody he kicked one officer in the leg and spit in the face of another officer. Mr. Gardner has been charged with one count of indecent act, one count of assault, two counts of assault peace officer and one count of mischief.
LEFT STORE WITHOUT PAYING
31-year-old Kenny William Boyer, of 3-58 East Street was arrested yesterday afternoon after police received a call to the Mac’s Mart on Dacey Road. It is alleged that Mr. Boyer left the store without paying for peanuts and other snacks.
Mr. Boyer was located on Dacey Road in an intoxicated state. He was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and also for being intoxicated in a public place. He will appear in court on October 4th.
BREAK & ENTERS
Yesterday, city police received a report of an attempt break and enter to the Dairy Queen on Trunk Road. Entry was not gained. Police also took a report of an attempt break and enter to Auto Parts Extra at 665 John Street; where entry was not gained.
However, thieves did break into Classic Automotive at 669 John Street and did make off with a small amount of cash. There was also a report of a break and enter into a room at the Howard Johnson Inn at 503 Trunk Road, but the would be thieves were scared off by staff.
