On August 17, 2015 at 4 p.m. city police officers arrested 31-year-old Brian Blevins of Algoma Ave. The arrest was as a result of a search warrant executed at his residence and items recovered.

On August 17, 2015 at 4 p.m. city police officers arrested 31-year-old Brian Blevins of Algoma Ave. The arrest was as a result of a search warrant executed at his residence and items recovered. Blevins was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydromorphone) and Possession of Ammunition while Prohibited. He appeared in bail court on August 18, 2015.

At 1:50 a.m. on August 18, 2015 city police officers arrested and charged Robert Anthony Day, age 31, of no fixed address in Sault Ste Marie and 28-year-old Patricia Martin of no fixed address. Police were responding to a report of a person going through vehicles on Albert Street near Gore Street. Two persons where checked and found to be in possession of break in tools and a shotgun. Robert Day was charged with several firearm related offences, possession of instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into a vehicle, one count of breach of probation, one count of causing a disturbance and possession of a firearm while being prohibited by court order. Patricia Martin was charged with possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm without a valid license. Both appeared in bail court on August 18, 2015.

At 10:20 a.m. on August 18, 2015 city police officers attended a local residence and arrested a 42-year-old male regarding a domestic assault. It’s alleged that the male assaulted an ex-girlfriend on July 31, 2015 causing minor injuries. At the time o the offence the accused was on a probation order with a condition that he keep the peace and be of good behavior. He will be appearing in bail court on August 18, 2015.

A resident on Norden Cresent reported to police officers that their garage was broken into. Thieves removed several pairs of shoes. 

On the afternoon of August 17, 2015 patrol officers located and arrested 21-year-old Jody Burns of Ashgrove Crest on outstanding warrants. It is alleged that earlier in the month Burns was captured on video at a store in the downtown area stealing merchandise valued at over $100. He is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will be appearing in court September 21, 2015.
