TWO FACE ASSAULT CHARGES On Saturday night there was an assault on Wawanosh Street that left a 19-year-old male victim unconscious. A short time after midnight 2 persons were arrested and charged in relation to the offence.

On Saturday night there was an assault on Wawanosh Street that left a 19-year-old male victim unconscious. A short time after midnight 2 persons were arrested and charged in relation to the offence.

20 year-old Blake Bennett Millroy of #4-155 Willow Avenue was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and a 16 year-old young offender was also arrested and faces 2 charges of breach of probation. There was no weapon used in the assault. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

Millroy will appear in bail court this morning and the young person is scheduled to appear in court on May 18th.

ON PROBATION; CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
A 41 year-old male will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested for a domestic incident from the 30th of March. The accused male is alleged to have punched the victim in the face, pulled the victim’s hair and scratch the left forearm of the victim prior to leaving their downtown apartment.

The accused is reported to have returned to the apartment just before midnight on the 30th of March and pushed the victim around the apartment and then punched the victim in the face. The accused man was on a probation order not to molest or physically interfere with the victim and is charged with 2 counts of breach of probation and 2 counts of assault.

STORE SECURITY NABS THEIF
A 17 year-old young person was arrested for theft under $5000 yesterday in regards to a theft from Zellers in the Station Mall. The young offender was observed by security staff selecting numerous products from the pharmacy and health and beauty departments and eventually placing them into a Zellers shopping bag.

The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over city police. The accused had over $264 of merchandise when apprehended. A court date has been set for May 18th.

OUTSTANDING WARRANT ARREST
21 year-old Meagan Louise Wilson of 31 Wellington Street West was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 4:40 pm yesterday afternoon. The accused had been charged with obstructing police on January 2nd of this year and also failed to appear in court on February 16th of this year. Wilson is now scheduled to appear in court on May 17th.

INTOXICATED DRIVER STRIKES BUILDINGS
Mark Ranieri, age 31 of 15 Blue Jay Court will appear in court on May 17th after being charged with impaired driving and over 80 mg just after 2:00 this morning. Ranieri is alleged to have been driving a pickup truck and struck a building at 304 Albert Street East after going off the roadway and then struck another building at 326 Albert Street after going off the roadway once again. The amount of damage to the buildings and vehicle is not known at this time
