A traffic stop early Wednesday morning led to drug trafficking for one person in the vehicle.

Shortly before 3 a.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service stopped a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Andrew St.

A search of the vehicle and its two occupants led to one of the occupants being found in possession of substances believed to be drugs, including 14.77 grams of cocaine, 3.36 grams of methamphetamine, 8.5 oxycodone tablets and Canadian currency.

21-year-old Aaron Lapossie has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.
