On October 9, 2014 at approximately 11:25 hrs an officer from Patrol Services located a male wanted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services for an outstanding warrant. Charged with Theft under $5,000 and two counts of Breach of Probation is Graham Roy TARRANT 28 yrs of 680 Portage Lane Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It is alleged the accused stole merchandise from Rick’s Outlet Store in the Market Mall on the 29th of May 2014 and further breached his conditions of his Probation Order by not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour and abstaining from the purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol and controlled drugs and substances not prescribed for his use.
City police detectives attended to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on October 8 and charged 30-year-old Glen Pelchat with two counts of possessing stolen property. It is alleged the accused attempted to pawn several items at a local pawnshop on 2 different occasions in September. These items were reported stolen from the Bruce St. Storage Complex earlier this year. Mr. Pelchat will be appearing in bail court later this morning.
