Male Arrested for Sexual Assault

On the 26th of October at 5:40 pm, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Nicholas Paesano of 19 St. Clare Boulevard, Woodbridge, Ontario and charged him with one count of assault, one count of sexual assault and one count of anal intercourse.

It is alleged that between the 16th and 24th of October, while staying in the Sault Ste. Marie area, the accused attended at the residence of a female known to him on numerous occasions, sexually assaulted her and forced her to have anal intercourse with him.

During some of the incidents, the accused would assault the victim when she would not comply with his sexual demands. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Shoplifting Incident

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 42 year-old John Decaire of #405-615 Albert Street East on the 26th of October at 1:41 pm at Dollarama in the Station Mall and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 26th of October at approximately 1:07 pm the accused attended at the Dollarama store and stole numerous items. He was apprehended by store security and police were called. The accused is to appear in court on the 14th of November.

Break and Enter/Theft Reports

• A residence on Ferguson Avenue was entered on the 26th of October – It is not known at this time if anything was taken.

• Two vehicles were reported entered in the Parkshore Drive and Golf Range Crescent areas. Vehicle ownerships, registrations and a manual were reported stolen.
