UPADTE On the 26th of October at approximately 3 a.m., two males attended at an address on Base Line. It is alleged that the males pounded on the door and verbally identified themselves as the police.

On the 26th of October at approximately 3 a.m., two males attended at an address on Base Line.

It is alleged that the males pounded on the door and verbally identified themselves as the police.

When the male resident answered the door the two accused shoved the victim into the residence and entered the home.

A handgun was brandished and the accused persons demanded drugs and money from the victim.

At the time of the offence both accused persons were wearing balaclavas and threatened the victim.

The accused persons left the area in a vehicle with several items that had been taken from the home.

Items taken include a weed whacker, a chainsaw, a boat motor and hydroponic growing equipment.

At approximately 3:40 a.m. (not 4:30 am as earlier reported) patrol officers stopped the suspects in a vehicle.

Both males were taken into custody without incident.

Located and seized from the vehicle was approximately 395 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of $6,650, as well as the stolen items and a loaded handgun.

This incident is not a random act of violence and is believed to be drug-related.

The following persons will appear in bail court on October 27 at 10 a.m.:

1) 29-year old Jamie Porter of 4-308 Korah Road has been charged with two counts of break and enter and commit an offence, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, one count of robbery-use of a firearm, one count of disguise with intent-face masked, one count of personating a peace officer, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle

2) 26-year old Gregory Martellini of 198 Parkland Crescent has been charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of consume over the legal limit, one count of break and enter and commit an offence, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, one count of robbery-use of a firearm, one count of disguise with intent-face masked, one count of personating a peace officer, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Officers from Investigation Services are still continuing to work on this investigation.

Fourth Man Wanted Now in Custody

35-year old Ralph James Carricato of 87 Goulais Avenue will appear in bail court this morning. Last evening just after 10 pm officers from Investigation Services, Patrol Services and the Emergency Services Unit attended at an address on Goulais Avenue and located the accused hiding in the residence. The accused has been charged with one count of robbery with a firearm, one count of break and enter and commit an offence and one count of wearing a disguise. The accused was taken into custody without incident.

Impaired Driving

30-year old Sean Young of Granite Street in Sudbury was arrested just before 1 am this morning and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. Just after 12:30 am a citizen called to report a possible impaired driver. It is alleged that the driver was swerving all over the road on Northern Avenue, went through a red light on Farwell Terrace and was all over the road on Korah Road. Officers attended on Korah Road and the vehicle was stopped. The accused showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. He will appear in court on November 27th.

Failure to Appear in Court, Fraud & Impaired Driving

27-year old Julie Shaw of 3-171 Pilgrim Street was arrested last evening just after 6 pm and charged with one count of fail to fail to appear in court, one count of fraud and one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. Officers attended at a local hotel after staff called to report problems with the accused. While speaking with the accused officers learned that there was a warrant of arrest for the accused in relation to the charges listed. She will appear in court on November 27th.

Possession of a Weapon

23-year old James Pyne of 204-99 Allard Street was arrested just after 2 am this morning and charged with one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon. Officers were called to the area of Northern Avenue and Pine Street regarding a disturbance call. The accused was arrested for a Liquor Licence related offence and during a search officers located a buck knife that could be opened with centrifugal force. The accused will appear in court on November 27th.

Resisting Arrest

26-year old Shawn Lee of 23 Lawson Avenue was arrested just after 2 am this morning and charged with one count of resist police. Officers were called to the area of Northern Avenue and Pine Street regarding a disturbance call. The accused was arrested for Liquor Licence related offence and during the arrest it is alleged that the accused resisted officers. The accused will appear in court on November 27th.

Break & Enter of a School

Between the 24th of October at 10 pm and the 25th of October at 7 am thieves broke into St. Theresa School on Estelle Street and stole 5 Macintosh computers.

Break & Enter with Violence

Officers from Investigation Services have been called out and are working on a break and enter with violence that occurred around 3:30 am this morning. Officers from Patrol Services responded to the male victims residence on Base Line and started the investigation. Around 4:30 am this morning patrol officers stopped a vehicle and took two adult males into custody. The males will be facing a number of charges as the investigation is continuing to unfold. The victim was not harmed in the incident. At this time no further details are being released as the investigation is in the preliminary stages.
