Intruders scared off by homeowner
City Police attended to an east end residence earlier today when 2 males gained entry to the residence but were scared off by the male occupant. The would be thieves have not yet been apprehended and Police are still looking into this occurrence.
Domestic
2 Domestic incidents were reported to Police throughout the day and no charges were laid in either one.
Officers arrest male for Sexual Offences
Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have completed an investigation into a sexual assault that occurred in July of this year. As a result of the investigation that began in October, 30 year old Justin Lebouef of 141 Churchill Ave. has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. Both the victim and the accused are known to each other and the offences are alleged to have taken place at a residence that both parties had access to. The accused will appear in bail court today.
Arrests:
46 year old female was arrested for breach of probation stemming from a domestic incident. The female was on probation with conditions that she not communicate with her boyfriend. She was found at his residence in an intoxicated condition and was subsequently arrested by police.
Break and Enters:
A home in the 200 block of Prentice Avenue, entry through basement window, bedroom searched and several small portable items were taken.
Mischief:
A vehicle window was broken with a rock in the area of Holy Angels School on Wellington St., nothing was reported taken.
