City Police attended to a downtown parking lot this morning regarding a disturbance. Upon their arrival they found a female on scene acting irrationally.

Investigation revealed that the female had assaulted and threatened 2 persons and threatened 2 other people unknown to her. 30 year old Lindsay Watkins of Churchill Blvd. will be appearing in Bail Court tomorrow.

On the 5th of November, 2014 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Patrol Services attended at Sears Station Mall located at 293 Bay Street, Sault Ste. Marie, with regards to a young offender shoplifter. It is alleged the accused stole Lacosse Cologne valued at $78 and was apprehended by security and held for police. A 14-year-old male was charged with theft under $5,000 and will appear in Youth Court on December 9, 2014.

On the 5th of November, 2014 at approximately 10:22 p.m., officers from Patrol Services observed a motor vehicle travelling at a slow rate of speed on St. Andrews Terrance, officers initiated a traffic stop and spoke to the driver. Officers detected an odour of alcohol and determined that the driver’s ability to drive was impaired by alcohol. Arrested for driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in his blood is Pavlo Panasenkov 24 years old, of 360 Town Line Road. Sault Ste. Marie. He will appear in court on December 8, 2014.

On the 5th of November, 2014 at approximately 11:47 p.m., officers responded to a mischief complaint in the area of Patrick Street. Police received information that persons were spray painting graffiti on various buildings in the area. Officers arrived in the area and observed that graffiti was spray painted in various locations including: William Merrifield School on Patrick Street, an electrical box on Patrick Street, the ice rink building at William Merrifield School, residences on Wallace Terrance and Korah Road, the Market Mall and The Beer Store on Second Line West. Officers located and arrested three youths that were in the process of spray painting other items in the area of Wallace Terrance and Korah Road. Charged with 10 counts of mischief and breach of probation is a 16-year-old male youth, 10 counts of mischief for a second 16-year-old male youth, and 10 counts of mischief for a third 17-year-old male youth. All three youths will appear in Youth Court on December 9, 2014.
