Male charged with criminal harassment

A 49-year old male will be appearing in bail court after being arrested in relation to a domestic situation. The accused was on release conditions from earlier domestic matters with terms advising he was not to be within 700 feet of the victim’s residence. He was observed by witnesses on the 27th of October to be within a short distance of the victim’s residence at 11 pm. The accused was also on a release order with a curfew to be in his residence at 11 pm. One the 31st of October the accused was observed driving by the victim’s residence. During these dates the accused was watching the dwelling house of the victim. The male was arrested yesterday afternoon on outstanding warrants for these offences. The accused has been charged with 3 counts of breach of release documents and one count of criminal harassment. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.


Male charged with two counts of fraud

Yesterday officers from the Fraud Unit arrested 21-year old William McDonald of 667 Korah Road. It is alleged that the accused used another persons debit card to make withdrawals from the persons account, without that person’s permission. The accused also made 3 empty envelop deposits. The victim was defrauded of approximately $2,000. The accused has been charged with two counts of fraud and will appear in court on December 13th.

Break and enter

Yesterday City Police received one report of a break and enter into a residence in the 700 block of Pine Street. The homeowner advised that a play station, DVD’s, packsacks and tobacco were taken.
