12 Year-old Female Youth Arrested for Assault: A 12 year-old female was arrested on the 10th of November at 10:00 pm at her residence and charged with one count of assault.
12 Year-old Female Youth Arrested for Assault:

A 12 year-old female was arrested on the 10th of November at 10:00 pm at her residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 10th of November at around 7 pm the accused assaulted a female known to her while in the parking lot of the Station Mall. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 15th of December.

Possession of Stolen Property

19 year-old Derek D’Ettorre of 72 Chambers Avenue was arrested on the 11th of November at 7:10 pm and charged with one count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that on the 7th of November at approximately 5 pm the accused attended at a local pawn shop and pawned an iPod Nano that had been stolen from a vehicle on Parkland Avenue sometime overnight on the 6th of November. He is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

Assault

32 year-old Joanne Vivier of #17-864 Queen Street East was arrested on the 10th of November at 7:40 pm on Queen Street East and charged with two counts of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 10th of November at approximately 2 am the accused assaulted two nurses and threatened to kill one while in the Emergency Department at the Sault Area Hospital. One of the nurses received non-life threatening injures as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

Shoplifting Arrests:

1) 33 year-old Rae-Ann Perrault of #204-277 Northern Avenue was arrested on the 10th of November at 3:52 pm at Dean’s Food Basic Grocery Store and charged with theft under $5,000.00 after she allegedly attended at the store at 3:50 pm and stole some packages of chicken beasts.

2) 38 year-old Frank Schmitz of 65 Biggings Avenue was arrested on the 11th of November at 3:55 pm at Sears in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 11th of November the accused attended at Sears and stole a Columbia Jacket. He is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

3) 31 year-old Jacquilynne Gray of 25 Grosvenor Avenue was arrested on the 11th of November at 3:37 pm at the A&P Store on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 after she allegedly attended at the store on the 11th of November at 3:30 pm and stole several packages of meat. She is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

Two Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance This Morning

A 42 year-old male was arrested on the 11th of November at 4:25 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of sexual assault. It is alleged that on the 10th and 11th of November the accused assaulted and sexually assaulted his common-law girlfriend at their residence. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention as a result.

A 26 year-old male was arrested on an outstanding domestic related warrant the 10th of November at 8:10 pm at a downtown residence. He was charged with one count of threatened death or bodily harm in relation to threats he made to his ex-girlfriend over the phone on the 8th of November.

Four Persons Arrested in Stolen Vehicle:

On the 10th of November at 10:08 pm city police received a call from a vehicle owner on Cameron Avenue that his vehicle, a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird, had just been stolen from the driveway. Police stopped the vehicle moments later in the Garden River area with assistance from the O.P.P. At the time of the stop, it is alleged that four persons were found in the stolen car. All four persons were arrested and charged with the following:
The driver, 18 year-old Justin Daoust-Palmer of 36 Willow Avenue (basement) was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon after being found in possession of a flick knife. He is to appear in Bail Court this morning.

The three passengers, all female youths, aged 14 and 15, have all been charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of possession of stolen property. All are to appear in court on the 15th of December.

Impaired Driving Arrests:

30 year-old Jean-Paul Gauvin of #3-148 Pim Street was arrested on the 12th of November at 1 am on St. Mary’s River Drive and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 12th of November at around 12:42 am the accused was driving a 2002 Honda on Carmen’s Way near Queen Street West when he failed to negotiate a turn and struck a landscaping fence near the International Bridge. The accused was observed walking away from the scene and was quickly located by police a short distance away. At the time officers found him to be under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. He is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

44 year-old Howard Conway of 53 St. Georges Avenue (upstairs) was arrested on the 10th of November at 10:13 pm on Irwin Street and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of consume over the legal limit and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 10th of November at 10:04 pm city police observed a vehicle that was travelling at a very high rate of speed in an eastbound direction on Trunk Road. Officers stopped the vehicle on Irwin Avenue and a check of the driver revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol. At the time of his arrest he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He is to appear in court on the 14th of December.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• The Planetary Pride Business on Queen Street East was entered on the 11th of November around 2:04 am. Several items were reported stolen.
• A residence on Cathcart Street was entered on the 10th of November between 3 – 4pm. Medication was reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• In the past two nights, vehicles were entered on Simpson Street, Shannon Road, Meadow Park Crescent Upton Road, Parkland Road, Queen Street East and Louise Avenue. Some of the items stolen included: a GPS, cash, a Casio Camera, iPods and glasses.
• Three male youths were observed breaking into a vehicle that was parked in the Gore Street Area on the 11th of November around 7 pm. They ran off empty handed when they saw the complainant.
• A Chinook Supercycle bike was stolen from the Market Mall lot on Second Line West on the 10th of November.
• A licence plate was stolen from a vehicle on Jean Avenue.

Mischief Reports:

• A construction Trailer was reported damaged in the Algoma University property sometime overnight on the 11th of November.
• A vehicle was reported damaged on Meadow Park Crescent.
