SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE

A 20 year-old male has been charged with 2 counts of sexual assault following an incident from May 1st. The accused is alleged to have entered the victims’ bedroom at 2 separate occasions on that date and sexually assaulted the victim. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on June 7th.

CHARGED WITH 3 COUNTS

56 year-old Gino Finateri of 692 Farwell Terrace will appear in court on June 7th after he was charged with 3 counts of unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited weapon. Finateri is alleged to have been in possession of a rifle, shotgun, and ammunition that were all unsafely stored in the residence. A “morning star”, which is prohibited, was also located during a search by drug enforcement officers.

IMPAIRED CHARGES

Judy Marlene Lecuyer, age 45 of 312 Beverly Street will appear in court on June 7th after being charged with impaired driving and failing to supply a sample of breath. At 1:09 this morning patrol officers observed Lecuyer operating a car on North Street. Officers stopped Ms. Lecuyer after she allegedly almost struck a fire hydrant and then crossed the centerline on the roadway. Lecuyer was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the city police station where she refused to supply a sample of her breath.

PINEWOOD SCHOOL BREAK-IN

A break and enter was reported early yesterday morning to Pinewood School. When the janitorial staff arrived at 6:30 am they noticed that someone had gained entry to the school. The culprit is alleged to have taken 2 computer towers from the school.

HUNGRY YOUNG OFFENDER

A young offender was apprehended by store security at Rome’s grocery store when the young offender attempted to leave with $83.80 worth of merchandise. The offence happened at approximately 7:10 pm. The young offender who was turned over to patrol officers will appear in court on June 8th.
