WOMAN CHARGED WITH THEFT & ASSUALT On March 8, 2003 at 4:23 pm, the accused, a 40-year-old female allegedly stole the property of her mid twenties girlfriend.
WOMAN CHARGED WITH THEFT & ASSUALT
On March 8, 2003 at 4:23 pm, the accused, a 40-year-old female allegedly stole the property of her mid twenties girlfriend. The property was a necklace, three charms and two rings and a portable stereo, which was pawned at a local pawnbroker.

The victim located the property at the pawnbrokers and paid $175.00 to retrieve it. On April 11, 2003, at approximately 12:15 am, the accused had a verbal argument with the victim that escalated to assault when the victim was pushed down a flight of stairs.
She sustained injuries to her hip.

Yesterday at 3:22 pm, patrol officers arrested and charged the accused with Theft under $5,000.00 and Assault. She will appear in court on June 23rd.


MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATENING WOMAN
On May 11, the accused, Roger Vienneau, age 26 of 177 Walnut Street, allegedly threatened an adult female by stating he was going to take her and her building out. He also advised the victim to watch out if he returned.

Police were called and officers went to Vienneau's last known residence on Wellington Street East, but were unable to locate him. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday at 6:50 pm, he was located at the Pee Wee Arena where patrol officers arrested and charged him with two counts of Threatening Bodily Harm or Death and two counts of Threatening Damage to Property. He will appear in court June 30th.


MAN INJURED IN ATTACK
On May 18, at approximately 11:30 pm, a 42-year-old male went to an apartment on Albert Street West to get a change of clothes. While he was at the apartment building, he was told that a male individual was just there looking for him.

The victim went outside where a male standing on the curb asked him to come over and talk to him. The victim and this male had an argument. Another male came up from behind and hit the victim with a pipe or a bat over the head.

The attackers fled the scene. The victim received a 5-inch gash to his head. Police were notified and the victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital for medical treatment.

An investigation was commenced and yesterday at 10:06 pm, patrol officers arrested and charged Luke Ralph, age 28 of 702 Second Line West, Apt #1 with Aggravated Assault. He will appear in bail court today. Police are continuing the investigation into the identity of the second assailant.


BREACH OF PROBATION
Yesterday at approximately 10:15 pm, the accused, a 15-year-old male, breached his probationary curfew of 9pm by not being home. Police were called to the youth's east end residence where they charged him with Breach of Probation. He will appear in court in early July.


THREE ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
Early this morning, just after midnight, patrol officers arrested and charged three males with assault following a call to an apartment complex on Second Line West.

Officers were advised that a fight was occurring outside the building after a male had entered an apartment in the building without permission of the tenant there. An argument ensued between the male and the persons in the apartment.

When police arrived they found that a 19-year-old male, an 18-year-old male and a 23-year-old male had assaulted another adult male. The assault involved a beer bottle. The victim, who was known to the accused, received minor injuries in the incident.

The 19-year-old male, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with Unlawfully being in a Dwelling House, Assault with a Weapon and three counts of Breach of Probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The 18-year-old male, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with Assault and Breach of Probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Both he and the 19-year-old male will appear in bail court today.

The 23-year-old male was charged with Threatening Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon. He will appear in court on June 30th.


BREAK AND ENTERS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated several break-ins yesterday. At 8:56 am Police were advised that a garage was entered at a residence on Salisbury Avenue.

At 4:20 pm a cottage owner on Marshall Drive advised police that thieves had broken into his cottage. A further investigation by police revealed four cottages had been entered in the area north of Gros Cap.
