NO SHOW PICKED UP 21 year-old Duane LeBlanc of 506 Sherbourne Street was arrested yesterday afternoon on an outstanding arrest warrant. LeBlanc was wanted for failing to appear in court on January 19th, 2004.
NO SHOW PICKED UP

21 year-old Duane LeBlanc of 506 Sherbourne Street was arrested yesterday afternoon on an outstanding arrest warrant. LeBlanc was wanted for failing to appear in court on January 19th, 2004. That court appearance was scheduled as a result of Mr. LeBlanc being charged with assault with a weapon on October 10th of 2003. A new court date of June 21st has been set.

YOUNG OFFENDER AND HIS VIDEO GAME

A young offender will appear in court on June 22nd after being charged with theft under $5000 yesterday at 12:50 in the afternoon. The youth is alleged to have entered the Second Hand World store on Tancred Street and while inside placed a video game inside his pocket and then left the store when store personnel apprehended the youth. The youth was then turned over to city police officers without incident.

JOINT FORCES DRUG UNIT INVOLVED

Laurence Foreman age 18 of 480 Shannon Road was arrested and charged yesterday at approximately 9:05 pm after officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at his residence. Drug enforcement officers located what is believed to be 3 marihuana plants and 118 grams of marihuana. Mr. Foreman will appear in court on June 21 charged with production of a controlled substance and trafficking in a controlled substance.

DOMESTIC DISPUTES

A 33 year-old male has been charged with threatening to cause bodily harm and will appear in court on June 21st after a domestic dispute took place last night at approximately 11:00. The accused is alleged to have gotten into a verbal argument with the victim and during the course of the dispute threatened to “blacken the eyes” of the victim. The victim then contacted city police, as their personal safety became a concern.

A domestic dispute in the city’s east end has resulted in a 27 year-old male going to bail court this morning. The accused male is alleged to have gone to the victim’s house at approximately 11:50 pm and became involved in a verbal disagreement with the victim. The accused then grabbed the victim and began shaking the victim, which was being witnessed by neighbors. When the neighbors attempted to intervene the accused male threatened them with death. At 12:35 this morning the accused male was arrested and charged with 1 count of assault and 2 counts of threatening death.

B&E’S REPORTED

2 break and enters were reported yesterday. The first break-in was reported to a residence in the 200 block of Brown Street where residents report that during the night, while they were asleep, an unknown person entered their residence and took from the house a DVD player and a ladies purse and the contents of the purse. The second break-in was reported to Ball Florist on North Street. Reported stolen from the florist shop was the cash register and the small cash float.
