The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 43 year-old male was arrested on Great Northern Road yesterday morning just before 6 am and charged with two counts of assault.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 43 year-old male was arrested on Great Northern Road yesterday morning just before 6 am and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that the accused got into an argument with his wife earlier at their central-area residence. The accused assaulted his wife by pushing her several times. It is further alleged that when the wife’s 20 year-old daughter attempted to intervene, the accused assaulted her by pulling her hair and pushing her to the floor. There were no injuries reported.

2) On The 9th of May at around 8:35 pm City police received a report from Home Depot on Great Northern Road that a female had just stolen a cordless hammer drill valued at $389.00 and that she had just left the store and was observed getting into a vehicle driven by a male. The vehicle description was given to officers and police located and stopped this vehicle on Gore Street at approximately 9:05 pm. Officers observed the stolen drill and an air nailer inside the vehicle. The male and female were both arrested. Upon arrest, police further searched the vehicle and persons and also located a quantity of food items stolen earlier from Food Basics on Pine Street and the A&P store on Second Line West.
The two accused were also found in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

The two persons charged are:
1) 36 year-old Terry-Lynn Syrette of #4-104 Albert Street West is charged with four counts of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breach of a release document. At the time of the incident the accused was on release conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

2) 48 year-old Trevor Farrell of #220-345 St. Georges Avenue East is charged with four counts of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of probation. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The following break and enters were reported yesterday:

1) A storage barn on Allard Street was entered overnight from the 8th to 9th of May. Fuel was stolen.

2) A transport trailer was entered that was parked at the East End Husky on Trunk Road between 11:30 and midnight last night. It is not known what was taken.

3) City Financial Services on 27 Great Northern Road was entered overnight from the 8th to the 9th of May. Some cash was stolen.
