Two Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance A 31 year-old male was arrested on the 4th of March at 12:50 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault.

A 31 year-old male was arrested on the 4th of March at 12:50 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 3rd of March around 10:22 pm the accused assaulted his common law partner at their residence. Officers investigating the domestic incident discovered that the accused assaulted the same victim on two other occasions, once in October 2009 when he attempted to choke her and in February of this year when he burned her with a cigarette. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assaults.

A 40 year-old male was arrested on the 3rd of March at 3:55 pm and charged with one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged on the 3rd of March he breached conditions by communicating with his wife when he was on orders not to and by doing this he failed to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Shoplifting Charges

36 year-old Nancy Juliet of #4-671 Queen Street West was arrested on the 3rd of March at 6:26 pm at Wal-Mart and charged with one count of theft under$5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 3rd of March just after 6 pm the accused attended at the store and stole some items. She was apprehended bys tore security and held for police. She is to attend in court on the 12th of April.

Pedestrian/Motor Vehicle Collisions

On the 3rd of March at 9:58 am city police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian and motor vehicle at the intersection of Brock Street and Queen Street East. It is alleged that the driver of a Hyundai vehicle that was travelling westbound on Queen Street East attempted to make a southbound turn onto Brock Street and struck a pedestrian that was crossing with the crosswalk signal activated. The 47 year-old male pedestrian attended at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, 66 year-old Elvira Zimbaro of 644 Old Goulais Bay Road was charged with one count of fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

City police responded to a pedestrian and motor vehicle collision yesterday afternoon around 4:40 pm at Great Northern Road and Willoughby Street. A 59 year-old female that was walking westbound on Willoughby and attempted to cross at the crosswalk was struck by a Ford van that had been travelling westbound on Willoughby and attempting to make a left hand turn onto Great Northern Road. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.

Break and Enters

• A residence on Boston Avenue was entered on the 3rd of March. A television and a toy box were reported stolen.
• A residence on Grace Street was broken into just after noon yesterday. Prescription medications were reported stolen.

Mischief Reports

A vehicle on Ferguson Avenue and one on Ontario Avenue were vandalized.
