MISSED COURT DATES A young offender was turned in to city police yesterday after the young person failed to appear in court on March 2, 2004. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed the outstanding bench warrant.

A young offender was turned in to city police yesterday after the young person failed to appear in court on March 2, 2004. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed the outstanding bench warrant. An April 6th court date has been set for the charges of theft under $5000 and fail to attend court.

Also, 39-year-old Stewart Grassie of 244 Queen Street East turned himself in to city police last night at approximately 9:00 p.m. after he failed to attend court on March 2nd. The outstanding bench warrant was executed on Mr. Grassie and a court date of April 5th has been set.


STOLEN CREDIT CARD FRAUD
Paula Christmas, age 27 of 250 Albert Street East was arrested and charged yesterday with possession of stolen property and 27 counts of fraud.

It is alleged that Ms. Christmas stole a credit card from another woman on January 18th, 2004 and then from January 18th to 22nd used the credit card 27 times at different businesses between Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto. April 19th is the court date that has been scheduled for Ms. Christmas.


CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Janet Lee Day, age 36 will appear in court on April 5th after her arrest on March 3rd for criminal harassment and uttering threats.

It is alleged that between September 1st and November 12th, 2003 Miss Day called the victims on several occasions causing them to fear for their safety and the safety of their children. Miss Day also threatened to cause property damage.


INTOXICATED
At 1:38 this morning, patrol officers were called to Southmarket Street where they located the accused, 20-year-old Edward Petts in an intoxicated condition.

Officers learned that there was an outstanding warrant for breach of recognizance. Mr. Petts will appear in bail court this morning for breaching his recognizance by failing to report.
