Numerous Charges Laid Against Male
Yesterday City Police arrested 48-year old Caleb Perreault after receiving a complaint from an employee of the City Transit bus terminal. It is alleged that at approx. 8:00 pm the accused smashed a window at the city bus terminal and was apprehended by an employee. Police attended and arrested the accused that was then searched and found with a flick knife in his pocket. The accused threatened to cut the police officers throats with the knife. The accused has been charged with 1 count of mischief, 1 count of resist arrest, 2 counts of threaten death or bodily harm and 1 count of possession of a prohibited weapon. He will be appearing in court this morning.
Male and Female Charged with Theft
On the 30th of March 39-year old Lisa Deschamps and 35-year old Steve Oliver, both of 240 Albert street west did commit the offence of theft by removing $340.00 in assorted bills from the dresser drawer of a complainant at her residence. Both accused then left the residence. Police were called and both accused were arrested a short time later. Steve Oliver has been charged with 1 count of theft under $5000.00 and will appear in court on the 19th of April. Lisa Deschamps has been charged with 1 count of theft under $5000.00 and has also been charged with 1 count of assault resulting from an incident on the 29th of December 2004. It is alleged that on this date the accused was at the River Rock Café at 6:00pm where she assaulted a female known to her, by punching her in the eye causing her eye to swell up. The accused will appear in court on the 19th of April.
