Fourth Person Arrested For JBC Variety Robbery

Yesterday officers from the Street Team arrested 19-year old Kevin Meyers of 27 Forest Avenue for his involvement in the robbery at the JBC Variety on the 19th of March. When the accused was arrested by officers and searched a flick knife was located, which had been concealed in the pants of the accused. Mr. Meyers has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon and one count of carry a concealed weapon. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

Man Arrested For Threatening Witness

43-year old Todd Petrie of 84 Trelawne Avenue was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of obstruct justice. It is alleged that on the 23rd of March the accused contacted a witness in an upcoming court case and threatened the witness. The victim subsequently contacted City Police. Mr. Petrie will appear in bail court this morning.

41-Yr Old Arressted For Failing To Appear In Court

Yesterday afternoon officers from Investigation Services and the Street Team observed 41-year old Simon Barnes of 77 Pilgrim Street walking in the downtown area. A query of the accused revealed that he was wanted on a warrant for one count fail to appear in court in relation to a charged of breach of a release order and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. The accused has court date of May 1st.
