ACCIDENT VICTIMS TO HOSPITAL: 20-year-old Andreanne Potvin of La Baie, Quebec was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a stop sign at the intersection of Churchill Blvd and Queen St E.
ACCIDENT VICTIMS TO HOSPITAL:

20-year-old Andreanne Potvin of La Baie, Quebec was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a stop sign at the intersection of Churchill Blvd and Queen St E. A passenger in the Potvin vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, Foroogh Fatemazideh was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, along with 2 of her passengers. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

3 CAR COLLISION

39-year-old Noelline Rioux of 25 Varsity St, was charged with failing to stop for a red light after being involved in a 3 car collision yesterday at Pine Street and Wellington St E. Rioux was taken to the hospital with minimal injuries. The driver of the 2nd vehicle, Michael Thompson of Thunder Bay did not receive any injuries, Velma Heise of 3920 Queen St E, the third driver involved, was also taken to the hospital with minimal injuries.

WHEN NOT TO DRINK

Nicholas Bil, age 25, of 107 Boundary Road will appear in bail court today after he was arrested on outstanding arrest warrants. Bil has been charged with 2 counts of breaching his undertaking. Bil is alleged to have been consuming alcohol when on release conditions not to.

DIAMONDS DO HIM IN

24-year-old Jeremy Barnes, of 38 Alberta Avenue, will appear in court on July 5th after being charged with one count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that he had jewelry, including a chain, a gold nugget with diamonds and 2 charms that had been taken during a break and enter from late December 2003.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

City Police responded to a domestic disturbance yesterday which ended up with a 28-year-old-male charged with one count of assault. It is alleged he pushed the female. He will appear in court on July 5th.

STORE SECURITY NAB YOUNG OFFENDERS

Yesterday 2 young persons attempted to steal some Everlast Hand wraps, valued at $6.99, from the Canadian Tire Store and were apprehended by store security. They were each charged with theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on July 6th.

14-YEAR-OLD GETS COURT DATE

A 14-year-old young person will be appearing in court on July 6th after it was reported that they breached a number of terms of their probation. The young person failed to keep curfew hours, and did not attend school as directed on the probation order.

B&E’S FROM YESTERDAY

City Police received a report of a break and enter in the 100 block of Parkdale Drive yesterday. 2 males entered an occupied residence, pushed the homeowner out of the way, and left with a TV. The 2 males were last seen leaving in a newer Ford Explorer. One male had long curly hair. Anyone with further information regarding this matter can call Crime Stoppers at 942-7867.

A shed in the 100 block of Holden Street was also entered overnight. Thieves made off with a gas powered edge trimmer, as well as the motor off of an ice auger
