Youth Charged with Stolen 4-Wheeler Yesterday afternoon city police arrested a 15-year-old youth and charged him with one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested a 15-year-old youth and charged him with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused was operating the 4-wheeler on Great Northern Rd.
The 4-wheeler, a 2002 Polaris had been reported stolen earlier in the day from River City Motor Sports. The youth will be appearing in court on July31st.

Assault

Last night at approx. 11:40 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service was called to attend a centrally located address in regards to an assault. Upon arrival officers were informed that the complainant had been punched in the face by her husband. As a result a 62-year-old male was arrested. The accused is charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of probation. The accused will be appearing in bail court today at 10:00 am. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

Two Counts of Threatening

Yesterday morning city police arrested a 25-year-old male and charged him with two counts of threatening. It is alleged that on June 26th the accused used the internet to send threats to his ex-wife and her boyfriend. The accused will be appearing in bail court today.

Theft & Breach

Yesterday afternoon city police officers arrested 30-year-old Tammy MacGillivary and charged her with one count of theft under $ 5,000. and two counts of breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that earlier in the day the accused attended at Wal-Mart and stole a television. When the officers located the accused on the theft charged they discovered that the accused was also wanted for failing to appearing in court and had breached her release conditions. The accused will be appearing in bail court today

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service received five reports of mischief inn the past 24 hours.

1) A vehicle was damaged in the 100 block of Lorna Dr.
2) A City bus shelter on Andrew St was damaged.
3) A swimming pool in the 600 block of Second Line W. was damaged.
4) A home in the 100 block of Princeton Dr. was hit with paintballs.
5) A home in the 100 block of Market St. was egged.

City police received three reports of vehicles being entered.

1) A vehicle parked in the 600 block of McNabb St. was entered and a quantity of CDs was stolen.
2) A vehicle parked in the 200 block McMeeken St. was entered and a small amount of change was taken.
3) A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Queen St. E.

Please don’t leave any valuables in your vehicles. Thieves usually cause more damage to vehicles trying to enter them than the stolen item is worth.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service received three reports of break and enter in the past 24 hours.

1) A residence in the 200 block Balfour St. was entered a wallet was reported stolen.

2) At approx. 2:00 am police were dispatched to an alarm at Isabel Fletcher School. Upon arrival officer discovered that the office had been broken into.

3) At approx. 2:40 am the canine unit and patrol services were dispatched to Korah Collegiate for an alarm. Upon arrival officers discovered a broken window in the library. The canine unit was then used to track the suspect. At approx. 4:15 am this morning a 15-year-old youth was located and arrested. The youth is charged with one count of break and enter. A court date for the accused has not been set at this time.
