EARLY MORNING ARREST.
Earlier this morning City Police arrested a 29-year-old male on outstanding charges that stem from a domestic situation. It is alleged that on May 28th the accused broke into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, and pushed her as well as spitting in her face. During the altercation the accused took the complainant’s residential keys, but later returned them.
The accused was on a probation order with terms to keep the peace and be good. The male was charged with one count of break and enter, two counts of assault, one count of theft under $5,000 as well as one count of breach of probation.
LET HIS FINGERS DO THE WALKING
Yesterday City Police arrested a 40-year-old male for 2 counts of breaching his release documents. It is alleged the male made phone calls to the complainant on 2 occasions earlier this month, while on conditions not to communicate with her. The release conditions relate to a domestic relation situation and as a result his name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
YOUNG OFFENDER STRUGGLES WITH POLICE
A 16-year-old youth will also be in bail court this morning after being charged with 5 counts of breaching a probation order, one count of assault police, and one count of resist arrest. Early this morning officers had occasion to arrest the youth for breaching their probation order by bothering 2 individuals the youth was not to molest, harass or annoy, as well as failing to keep the peace and be good. When the officers took the youth into custody the youth struggled with the officers and repeatedly kicked them.

A 14-year-old young person will also be in bail court this morning after officers attended a residence in which the youth was residing. The youth had become upset and broke a dining room chair and damaged a wall with the chair. At the time of the incident the youth was on probation with terms to keep the peace and be good. The young person has been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation.
YOUNG OFFENDER HERE, TOO
Another youth has been charged with break and enter to the Bellevue Park Canteen. The 17-year old young person was arrested yesterday morning by officers from the Investigation Services Section for their involvement in 2 break and enters to the business. One had occurred on June 7th and the other one on June 22nd. The young person will appear in court on August 10th.
CHARGED: NO LICENCE
37-year old Sean McLarty of 104-536A Goulais Avenue will appear on court on July 26th. Patrol officers stopped the accused while he was driving in the west end of the City late last night. A check revealed that the accused was a disqualified driver. Mr. McLarty was arrested and charged with one count of operate motor vehicle while disqualified-court order.

As of this afternoon all of the children in the City are out of school. The public is reminded to pay extra attention when driving the streets of our City. The children may not be paying as much attention to traffic while crossing the roads or riding their bikes. Slow down when approaching any areas where you may expect to see children, or where you see a group of kids playing.
Also, parents are reminded to ensure you child is wearing his or her bicycle helmet while out riding around on the streets. Ensure that the helmet fits properly and that the chinstraps are done up. Help our kids have an accident free summer.
