The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 17 year-old male was arrested on a domestic assault warrant on the 20th of June at 5:15 pm on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of assault.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 17 year-old male was arrested on a domestic assault warrant on the 20th of June at 5:15 pm on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 12th of June the accused assaulted his common law girlfriend by slapping her and throwing her to the floor at their west end residence. The victim received injuries not requiring medical attention.

2) A 14 year old male was arrested on the 20th of June at 5:15 pm on Goulais Avenue and arrested again later in the evening around 21:00 at his residence. The youth has been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00, one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 20th of June at approximately 4:20 pm while on an outing, the youth put a whole in the wall at the Youth Recreational Centre on Goulais Avenue when he smashed a cup against it. It is further alleged that later around 5:40 pm at one of the Youth Homes, the accused became upset with the house rules, and while outside, he threw a rock at a staff member. The staff member was not struck with the rock. At the time of the incidents the youth was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Trespassing & Break & Enter with Intent

20 year-old Jordon Driver of #208-27 Terry Fox Place and 20 year-old Daryl Desjardins of 81 Glasgow Avenue were both arrested around 12:20 am on the 21st of June on Cheshire Road and both charged with one count of trespassing at night and one count of break and enter with intent. It is alleged that last night around 11:40 pm the two males attempted to go through a window of a garage on Cheshire Road and fled when they were scarred off by a neighbour. Police were called to the area. A witness located the males a short distance away and police made the arrest. Both males are to appear in court on the 23rd of July.

Forged Document, Fraud & Theft Over $5,000

55 year-old Jewel Browe of 704 Wallace Terrace was arrested on the 20th of June at the city police station at 11:45 am and charged with one count of uttering forged document, one count of fraud and one count of theft over $5,000.00. It is alleged that the accused while being a caregiver of an elderly female, between 2004 to January 2007, did steal personal cheques from her. It is further alleged that the accused during this same time period, defrauded the 92 year-old victim out of $47,002 by doubling her hours she worked as a caregiver and receiving those funds. The accused also knowingly used forged personal cheques of the victim as if they were genuine. The accused is to appear in court on the 23rd of July.

The following break and enters were reported yesterday and overnight:

1) F H Clergue on Weldon Avenue was entered around 1:40 am on the 21st of June. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.

2) There was an attempt break and enter to Algoma Auto Sales on Great Northern Road that occurred sometime between 8 pm on the 19th of June to 6 am on the 20th of June. Nothing was reported stolen.
