BREAK AND ENTERS
The Sault Police Service investigated two forced entries to garages yesterday. Unknown persons entered garages in the 500 block of Cathcart Street and the 400 block of Second Line West. The contents of the garages were gone through but nothing appears to have been taken.
ACCIDENT SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
Police investigated an accident at Pine and McNabb Street that sent one person to hospital with minor injuries. A Ford van operated by Mike Yu-petays, age 28 of Finland, was turning left from the northbound lane on Pine Street to the westbound lane on McNabb when it collided with a car in the intersection going south on Pine Street.
The southbound vehicle, a 1992 Chrysler sedan was driven by James Greenwood, age 26, of 99 Cabot Crescent. Greenwood was taken to hospital by ambulance. Yu-petays was charged with failing to yield. Both vehicles received heavy damage.
