Mischief and domestic violence incidents

The following are news releases from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service:

On July 26, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 57-year-old John Lavergne of Porcupine Ontario regarding a mischief complaint.

It is alleged that at 2:30 a.m. the accused attended the residence of a person known to him where he removed light bulbs from motion sensor lights and then used a knife to flatten the tires on a bicycle belonging to the victim. 

Police located the accused later that morning and he was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5,000.  He will appear in court on August 28, 2017.

On July 27, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old female in relation to a domestic violence incident.

It is alleged that on July 27, the accused attended the residence of her ex-boyfriend and broke a window. 

Officers located the accused and she was placed in custody.  Once in custody, it was found that the accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court in relation to a taxi fraud.

She was additionally charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.  She will appear in court on August 30th, 2017.
