Four persons to appear in bail court: 1) A 36-year-old female was arrested yesterday morning for making harassing phone calls.
Four persons to appear in bail court:

1) A 36-year-old female was arrested yesterday morning for making harassing phone calls. It is alleged that the accused made repeated phones to her ex-boyfriend after being warned by police not to contact the male complainant.

2) Last night city police arrested 26-year-old Robert Majic, of 16 Queen St. W Apt # 1, for breach of an undertaking and breach of probation. It is alleged that at approx. 9:25 pm the accused, who was on an undertaking release order to abstain from consuming alcohol, was in downtown bar consuming alcohol. The accused was also on probation at the time of this offence.

3) Yesterday afternoon city police were called to the Zellers Store in the Station Mall regarding a female shoplifter. It is alleged that at approx. 3:50 pm the accused, Louise Desmoulin, age 35, of 169 John St. attend in the store and stole some items. At the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to not attend at the Station Mall. The accused is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of a recognizance.

4) Yesterday afternoon city police arrested a 16-year-old female and charged her with one count of theft under
$ 5,000 and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on July 21st the accused attended at a friend’s residence in the downtown area. While there the two young persons broke into a locked room and stole some alcohol.

Male arrested for theft:

Yesterday morning city police arrested 20-year-old Tyler Ruzyski, of 172 Cathcart St and charged him with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and one count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Y.M.C.A., 235 McNabb St and stole a set of car keys from an unlocked locker. The accused is then said to have attended at the victim’s vehicle and stole some money. City police arrested the accused after he was seen fleeing the area. Mr. Ruzyski will be appearing in court on Aug 24th a t 9:00 am.

Male arrested for assault:

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested 47-year-old Wayne St. John, of 34 Centre St. and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a female, not known to him, after the accused and the victim had become involved in a driving dispute. The accused will be appearing in court on Aug 24th at
9:00 am.

Property Crimes:

Break and enter:


A residence in the 600 block of Placid Ave was entered. It is unknown what was stolen.

Mischief:

Windows were reported broken at Sir James Dunn High School, 1601 Wellington St. E.
A garage window was broken at Gore Street Automotive, 188 Gore St.
A window at a residence in the 300 block of McNabb St was broken.
Vehicles were damaged in the following areas:
The 1600 block of Wellington St. E.
The 100 block of March St.
The 200 block of Turner Ave.
Two window at Sir James Dunn High School were broken

Public’s Assistance required:

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating any witnesses to an incident that occurred on Saturday July 18th at approx. 2:30 pm. The incident in question was a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian that happened in front of Orlando’s House of Beauty. The cyclist involved did stop and offered assistance to the pedestrian but did not offer any information as to his identity. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service- Traffic Services would like to speak to the cyclist and to any other persons with information on this occurrence. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
