Break and Enter at Local Gas Station

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is investigating a Break and Enter that occurred earlier this morning at the Beaver Gas Bar at 143 Trunk Rd. At approx. 4:40 AM police were dispatched to an alarm at the gas station. Upon arrival officers discovered that the front door glass had been smashed. It is not known what was taken.

Male Charged with Breach of Probation

At approx. 1:50 AM City Police attended at a residence in the west end in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke to the involved persons and discovered that one of the males was wanted. It is alleged that the 24-year-old male was harassing a female acquaintance by constantly calling her. The offences took place between December 1st 2005 and January 18th 2006.The accused is charged with Criminal Harassment and two counts of Breach of Probation. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

City Police were kept busy yesterday investigating fifteen motor vehicle collisions. Most of the collisions were minor in nature.
