Male Charged with Possession
20-year old Ries Dalton of no fixed address was arrested last evening and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. Officers received information that the accused had a small quantity of marijuana on him. As a result the accused was arrested. It is alleged that the accused had approximately 5 grams of marijuana in his possession, which has a street value of approximately $75 dollars. The accused will appear in court on February 13th.
Male Charged with Causing a Disturbance
25-year old Kreshnik Zeneli of 35-863 Queen Street East was arrested last night just before 10 pm. It is alleged that the accused was walking down the middle of Pim Street. Officers asked the accused to use the sidewalk. It is alleged that the accused started to yell and swear at the officers. The accused was arrested for one count of cause a disturbance by swearing. He will appear in court on February 13th.
Youth Charged with Mischief
A 15-year old youth was arrested just before 1 am this morning and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 10th of January the accused got into a verbal argument with their mother at the family home. It is alleged that the accused smashed a ceramic collection as well a glass picture frame. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation with conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the mother. The accused will appear in court on February 14th.
Break and Enter
Yesterday afternoon City Police attended in the 100 block of Murphy Street for a break and enter. Sometime between the 1st of January and the 11th of January thieves entered the home and stole jewellery and a coin collection. If you know who is responsible for this crime, or know the whereabouts of the stolen property contact City Police at 949-6300. If you wish to provide the information anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 942-7867 or 1-800-222-TIPS. If your information leads to an arrest you could receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Have I arranged for someone to empty my mailbox each day?
Will they clear the driveway and walkways of snow?
Will they put out the garbage?
Can they leave a vehicle in my driveway?
Have I left them my route of travel?
Have I left an emergency number where I can be reached?
Make sure I cancel my newspaper for the duration of the trip.
Are my lights, radio and television on programmable timers?
Have I set the outside lights on timers?
Have I checked to see that the country I am traveling in has a travel warning issued?
If I am traveling to a foreign country, did I get all required vaccinations?
Do I have my medication, if needed?
Do I have travel insurance?
Do I have my travel tickets?
Do I have my passport?
Have I made copies of my credit cards in case they are stolen?
