2 Males Aressted For Possesion Of Housebreaking Tools

At approx. 2:20 AM this morning City Police officers assisted the Rankin Police Service in arresting two males for possession of House Breaking Tools.

It is alleged that the driver, Roger Chabot of 162 Sutton Place, had housebreaking tools in his vehicle. Upon investigating the passenger of the vehicle it was learned that he was breaching several release documents.

Michael Francis Richards, age 23, of 162 Sutton Pl. is charged with: Obstruct Police, Possession of House Breaking Tools, Personation, Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. The accused had bolt cutters, pry bars, hacksaws and wrenches in their vehicle.

Impaired Driving

At approx. 11:45 PM last night City Police arrested a female driver for impaired driving. It is alleged that the accused who was driving her vehicle north on East St. at a high rate of speed. As she attempted to turn right onto Wellington St.E. she lost control of her vehicle and almost collided with a police cruiser before striking a snow bank. Charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs. Is Robin Elsigan, age 42, of 8 Euclid Rd. She will be appearing in court on Mon. March 13th at 9:00 AM.

Michief Charge

At approx. 4:15 PM yesterday afternoon City Police arrested and charged a 45 year old man for Mischief. It is alleged that the accused committed the offence of Mischief by blowing snow onto the driveway of his neighbour. The accused had been warned numerous times in the past about his actions but it appears he did not take the warnings seriously. The accused, Gordon Lacrosse, age 45, of 582 Northland Rd. will be appearing in court on Monday March 13th at 9;00 AM.

Attempted Snowmachine Theft

Last night at approx. 9:40 PM two youths were seen fleeing from the scene of an attempted theft of a snowmachine. The incident took place in the 300 block of Spadina Ave. Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to contact Crimestoppers or the City Police.

24-Year Old Male Charged With Sexual Assault

Yesterday afternoon City Police arrested a 24-year-old male and charged him with: Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference. The charges stem from allegations that the accused sexually touched and interfered with a female known to him. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
