SEXUAL ASSAULT
City police service is requesting your assistance in their investigation into an attack on a female in the MacDonald Avenue area at about 2:38 p.m. yesterday.
A female was walking east on MacDonald in the area of Laronde Avenue when a male attacked her from behind. He pulled down her pants in the attack.
He ran north on Pine Street after the assault and was last seen in the area of Penhorwood Park. He is described as being a white male, light complexion with short black hair and a thin goatee. He is about 5'6" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black long-sleeved fleece sweater and stonewashed jeans.
Detectives are interested in speaking to the occupants of a beige coloured vehicle with several persons in it that was seen in the area shortly after the assault.
Detectives are continuing their investigation to determine if this assault is related to one that occurred on February 19 in the west end of the city. The description of the attacker is similar in both cases.

ARRESTED FOR FIGHTING AT SCHOOL.
Yesterday, the accused, a 15-year-old female from Second Line West and the victim, a 17-year-old female, were outside one of the local high schools in the smoking area. A verbal altercation occurred and the accused jumped the victim from behind and started punching her in the head.
The victim fell to the ground, hitting her head on the ground. The accused then pulled the victim's coat over her head and continued to punch her. The victim was able to get up and punch the accused in the face, causing a small laceration inside her bottom lip and causing her front left tooth to be pushed backwards.
At 3:00 pm patrol officers arrested and charged the accused with Assault causing Bodily Harm. She will appear in court in early April.
DRUG BUST
Yesterday at 5:06 pm, patrol officers checked a taxicab at the intersection of Gladstone and Bruce streets. The cab contained 5 occupants. One of the occupants in the cab identified himself to police as Brian Fitzherbert. Officers learned he was really Kyle Fitzherbert, age 18 of 243 McNabb St. who was wanted on outstanding warrants from the Ontario Provincial Police.
The accused, Kyle Fitzherbert, was arrested on these warrants and charged with Personation and Obstruct Police. During the search of the accused, amounts of narcotics believed to be cannabis resin were found on him. He was also then charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug. He was turned over to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Another co-accused Stephen Fitzherbert, age 42 of 243 McNabb St was in the taxi at the time. Patrol officers also arrested Stephen Fitzherbert for Possession of a Controlled Drug and upon searching him located a roach containing suspected hash oil resin in a tobacco pouch. He has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug and will appear in court on April 7th.
ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
On January 24, the victim, an 18-year-old female was at a party on White Oak Drive with several of her friends. She was going there to merely speak with a female who was saying some not-so-nice things about her. Upon arriving at the party she got out of the vehicle along with a male friend. Upon getting out, a female she knew came up to her and they began to fight.
She was punched several times in the head, causing several large goose eggs to form. While she was on the ground another female kicked her. Officers were able to identify the female that attacked her while she was on the ground. Yesterday at 6:50 pm, officers arrested and charged a 16-year-old female with Assault. She will appear in court in April.
STOLE FROM FAMILY MEMBER
Patrol Officers arrested a 16-year-old male of Albert Street West last evening for Theft under $ 5,000.00. It is alleged that the youth stole a ring belonging to another family member. The victim was able to get the ring back. The youth is scheduled to appear in court in early April.
BREAK & ENTER
Yesterday at 2:15 pm, patrol officers were called to a home on Hare Avenue where a garage was broken into and a set of air tools was taken. This incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 949-6300 or Crimestoppers.
