The following persons will appear in bail court this morning:
1) A 16-year old youth was arrested last night and charged with two counts of breach of a release order. It is alleged that the youth had consumed alcohol while on a court order prohibiting the consumption of alcohol and that the youth failed to notify his change of address.
2) A 24-year old female was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused assaulted her ex-boyfriend by punching him and also damaged a screen projector on a television in the victim’s residence.
3) A 35-year old male was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife by grabbing her and pushing her.
4) 19-year old female was arrested yesterday morning and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her ex-boyfriend by stabbing him with a pen. The victim received medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
The following break and enters were reported in the last 24 hour period:
1) Yesterday between 11 am and 5 pm a residence on Idaho Drive was entered. A laptop computer and other items were taken in the incident.
2) Last night shortly before midnight a male suspect broke into the Hi Way Variety Store on Trunk Road and stole several packages of DuMaurier and Players cigarettes. The male suspect was dressed in black and was approximately 5’8” tall.
3) Shortly before 1 am this morning officers attended at Savoys Jewellers on Queen Street East for a break and enter. A glass pane was broken but nothing appears to have been taken.
Theft Under Charge
20-year old Crystal Reed of 1278 McLennan Road, Desbarats was arrested last evening and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.
It is alleged that the accused kept a digital camera that she found when she moved into a local address.
The camera had been left behind by a previous tenant.
She will appear in court on March 26.
Road Conditions
The milder temperature this morning has resulted in sloppy road conditions. Take your time and remember that the wet loose snow can sometimes pull your vehicle off to the side. Adjust your speed to the road conditions and pay attention.
