SHE WOULDN'T LEAVE HIM ALONE
From late December 2002 to early January 2003, Kelly Court, age 37 of 28 Avon Avenue has allegedly been annoying a 35-year-old male by driving and parking in front of his residence and blocking the driveway when people are attempting to leave.
There was also an incident in December 2002 where Kelly Court followed the victim and a friend to the beer store at the Market Mall and blocked their vehicle in so it was difficult for them to leave.
It is alleged the accused parked out front the victim's residence on several occasions. The victim advised there has also been an increase in annoying phone calls during this time frame.
On Feb. 19th the accused turned herself into police and she has been charged with 2 counts of Criminal Harassment. She will appear in court March 24th.
ARRESTED FOR FALSE FIRE ALARM
On February 7 at approximately 10:30 p.m., the accused, Aaron Ritza, age 18 of Promenade Drive, was at the St. Basil High School dance.
It is alleged that he was very intoxicated and was removed from the dance twice by a private Security Officer. After sneaking back in the third time he was being escorted out by security.
He then grabbed the fire alarm pull station and pulled the station causing the alarm to ring and then ran out of the building. The fire department arrived at the school.
The toggle switch on the pull station was broken during the incident and the pull station had to be replaced. The accused was arrested and charged by police with Mischief under $5,000.00 and False Fire Alarm. He will appear in court March 31st.
PURSE SNATCHERS ARRESTED
At 2:00 am on Monday February 17, the victim, a 22-year-old female, noticed her purse missing from "Smack Daddy's" Bar on Pim Street. The victim subsequently reported her Canadian Tire "Options" card stolen.
At approximately 02:30 am, the accused Bobbi-Jean Wilson, age 24 of 814 Wellington Street East, #4,
along with a 27-year-old male co-accused and a 22-year-old female co-accused went to the Canadian Tire Gas Bar at 32 Great Northern Road, and made 3 attempts at using the card before being declined.
Yesterday, police went to 814 Wellington Street East, apartment 4, and arrested Bobbie-Jean Wilson for possession of stolen credit card and attempt fraud. She will appear in court March 24th. The investigation is continuing.
MAN ASSAULTS COUPLE WITH GOLF CLUB
Yesterday, at a home in the east end of Sault Ste Marie, the accused, a 55-year-old male, assaulted an 18-year-old male by hitting him with a golf club. The accused then threatened to cause bodily harm to the victim by hitting him again with the club.
The accused also assaulted a 16-year-old female by grabbing her and pushing her. He then threatened to cause bodily harm to her by striking her with a golf club. Police officers were called to investigate this domestic incident arrested the accused yesterday at 5:44 p.m.
The victims received minimal injuries. Officers charged the male with Assault with a Weapon, 2 counts of Assault and 2 counts of Threatening. He will appear in court March 24th.
TOO YOUNG TO BE CHARGED BY POLICE
Yesterday at 4:10 p.m. at Rexall Drugs, 612 Second Line West, the accused, a 9-year-old female was caught taking chocolate bars valued at $6.00 from the store, making no attempt to pay for them. Police officers were called. Due to the child's age no charges were applicable and the youth was returned to her parents.
ARRESTED FOR SEARS SHOPLIFTING
Yesterday, Dustin Middaugh, age 21 of 406 Queen Street West, # 7, allegedly took from Sears, one Digital Video Stabilizer valued at $49.99. He placed it under his sweater and exited Sears, where he was placed under arrest by security in the parking lot.
Police officers were called and charged him with Theft under $5,000.00. Further he was arrested on two warrants and charged with 2 counts of Failing to Attend Court. He will appear in court on March 31st.
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
Early this morning at approximately 2:45, Emergency Service Officers attended at the Roadhouse Bar and Grill, 743 Trunk Road regarding an intoxicated female.
Upon arrival the female in question, Sheila Boyer, age 23 of 186 Albert St. West, #4, had left prior to police arrival. With the assistance of "Eagle", she was located at Mike's Mart on Boundary Road a short time later, severely intoxicated.
A police records check revealed Sheila Boyer was on an Undertaking from East Algoma OPP with conditions not to consume alcohol, resulting from charges of Assaulting Police. She was arrested for Breach of her release conditions and was transported to the police station.
While at the station, she was escorted to a private phone to call a lawyer. While in the private room, she turned and threw a phone book at one of the arresting officers, striking him in the chest area. As a result, Boyer had to be controlled by police. Boyer then proceeded to spit in the face of one of the officers.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that she was asked to leave the Roadhouse Bar and Grill by staff and while being escorted to the door, Boyer spit on one of the employees before leaving. She has been charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Assault Police and Breach of Undertaking. She will appear in bail court today.
