2 DRIVERS CHARGED 2 drivers were charged yesterday following a 3-car accident at the intersection of Old Garden River Road and Third Line East.
2 DRIVERS CHARGED

2 drivers were charged yesterday following a 3-car accident at the intersection of Old Garden River Road and Third Line East. The collision that happened at 5:56 pm, was caused when a north bound vehicle on Old Garden River Road slid through the 4 way stop and collided with an east bound vehicle traveling on Third Line that also went through the stop sign.

After the 2 vehicles collided in the intersection the car being driven east spun and struck a third vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign on Third Line. Charged in the accident were 39-year-old Sandra McLean and 19 year old Tamara Tanninen.

They are charged with Disobey stop sign – fail to stop. Their vehicles sustained severe damage while the third vehicle being driven by Russell Robinson, age 72 received a light amount of damage.

YOUNG OFFENDER BREAKS CURFEW

A young person was arrested early yesterday morning when patrol officers located the accused in a city bus shelter during the time of a set curfew. The young offender was to abide by a curfew of 9 pm to 7 am. A March 30th court date has been set for the breach of probation charge.

OUTSTANDING ARREST WARRANTS ISSUED

Patrol officers of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed outstanding arrest warrants yesterday. First, Nathaniel Moses age 32, will appear in bail court this morning after having been arrested for outstanding charges of assault and failing to appear for court. These offences occurred in March and May of 2002.

Ryan Longo, age 18 was arrested during a traffic stop when officers learned that he was wanted on outstanding charges of possession of a controlled substance and failing to appear in court. The dates of the alleged offences were in November and December of last year. A March 29th court date has been set.

At 8:14 last night 24 year old Shane Young attended at the city police station to deal with warrants for his arrest. City police held warrants for failing to re-attend court from January of this year and for a threatening to cause death or bodily harm charge from March of 2003. Mr. Young is scheduled to be in court on March 15th.
