Female Arrested for Drug Possession
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year-old Loretta Carey of no fixed address and charged her with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 2nd of December at 3:55 am officers received a call to remove the accused from a residence of a person known to her and when officers arrived they found the accused in possession of a small amount of cocaine and arrested her. She is to attend in court on the 10th of January 2011.

Male Arrested for Assaulting Female
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43 year-old Doug Pringle of #3-380 Elizabeth Street yesterday afternoon at his residence and charged him with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 1st of December at approximately 9:15 am the accused got into a verbal argument with a female known to him just outside of his residence and assaulted her by pushing her and causing her to fall. The victim received injuries that required medical attention at the hospital. The accused is to attend in court on the 10th of January 2011.

Male Arrested for Assault
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Wendell Bondy of #2-48 Wellington Street East at his residence at 2:36 am this morning and charged him with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 1st of December just after 1:30 am the accused got into a verbal argument with a male known to him at his residence and assaulted him by pushing him. No injuries were reported. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good. The accused is to attend in court on the 10th of January.

Male Shoplifter Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 46 year-old Richard Waboose of 483 Gran Street at Zellers in the Station Mall 9:48 am yesterday morning and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 1st of December at approximately 9:30 am the accused attended at the store and stole some medication. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to attend in court on the 10th of January.

Female Arrested for Mischief and Threatening
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 33 year-old Kelly Lynn Twomey of #2-235 Upton Road at 8:10 pm last night and charged her with one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 1st of December at approximately 4:30 pm the accused attended at the victim residence, threatened to kill her and then smashed out the windows of her SUV with a hammer. The accused is to attend in court on the 10th of January.

Property Crimes
• An attempted break and enter was reported to a building on Elizabeth Street.
• A briefcase was taken from a vehicle in the 100 block of Shannon Road.
• Some change and a toolbox were stolen from a vehicle box on Country Club Place.
• A carton of cigarettes and a wallet were stolen from a vehicle in the 100m block of Hugill Street.
