Male to appear in bail court Yesterday evening city police arrested 18-year-old Kenny Boyer-Jones, of 1465 Highway 17 East, Garden River and charged him with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.

Yesterday evening city police arrested 18-year-old Kenny Boyer-Jones, of 1465 Highway 17 East, Garden River and charged him with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that Mr. Boyer-Jones entered a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Pim St. yesterday and stole electronic items from the vehicle. At the time of this offence Mr. Boyer-Jones was on probation with conditions to keep the peace.

Two males arrested for theft under $ 5,000

Yesterday at approx. 3:30 pm city police attended at the Station Mall Drug Store and arrested 51-year-old Russell Barton, of 142 Albert St. E. for theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that Mr. Barton attended at the store and stole a quantity of Dextrose, valued at approx. $ 4.00. He will be appearing in court on Aug 31st at 9:00 am.

At approx. 4:10 pm yesterday city police attended at the West 49th Store in the Station Mall and arrested
18-year-old Matthew Paul Meser, of 1101 Swinton St., Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and charged him with one count of theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that the accused stole a wallet, valued at $ 32.00 from the store. He will be appearing in court on Aug 31st at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for assault

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested a 27-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that on Aug 3rd the accused assaulted his common-law-girlfriend. The female victim did not have any injuries. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept 14th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for assault

Yesterday evening city police arrested 21-year-old Kathleen Boissoneau, of no fixed abode, and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that she assaulted a female, known to her, on July 15th, 2009. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept 14th at 9:00 am.

Property Crimes
Break and enter:
Residences in the 100 block of Crawford Ave and the 200 block of North St. were broken into. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

Mischief
A door at a residence in the 100 block of Landslide Rd. was damaged.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Panoramic Dr. was damaged.

Theft
Money was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Robin St.
Electronic equipment was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Grace St.
