YOUTH ASSAULTS POLICE Yesterday at approximately 3:57 pm police officers were called to remove a 17-year-old male from a residence on Manitou Dr. He had became extremely agitated and upset with having to leave the residence.

Yesterday at approximately 3:57 pm police officers were called to remove a 17-year-old male from a residence on Manitou Dr. He had became extremely agitated and upset with having to leave the residence. The youth then assaulted one of the police officers by kicking a love seat couch into the officer's leg.

As he was placing the young male under arrest, the suspect actively resisted by pushing the police officer away. The young offender was arrested without further incident and charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest. He will appear in court at the end of September. The Officer was not injured in the incident.

3-CAR COLLISION
At 10:39 last night, patrol officers investigated a three-car collision that sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
