35 Yr Old Arrested For Assaulting Girlfriend
Yesterday afternoon City Police arrested and charged a 35-year-old male with two counts of Assault and one count of Threatening Death. It is alleged that the accused did on August 6th and 7th assault his girlfriend by choking and pulling her hair. He also threatened to kill the victim. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. The victim did not require any medical treatment.
Impaired Driver
At approx. 1:30 AM this morning City Police made a routine spot-check on Moss Rd. As a result of the stop the driver was given a roadside-screening test. The accused, David Davieaux, age 33, of 354 Second Ave., registered a fail on the device and was subsequently arrested and charged with Drive Over 80 mgs. He will be appearing in court on Monday Sept. 18th at 9:00 AM.
14 Year Old Charged With Mischief At Manzo Pool
Yesterday morning City Police arrested a 14-year-old youth and charged him Mischief, Breach of Recognizance and two counts of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that on Aug. 2nd the youth was at the Frank Manzo Pool and while there he kicked in a plexi-glass window. At the time of the offence the accused was on a release order prohibiting him from being at the pool. The youth will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
Break & Enter On MacDonald
City Police are investigating a Break and Enter that occurred yesterday afternoon in the 500 block of MacDonald Ave. Just after 1:00 PM the complainant reports coming home and finding a male inside the house. The suspect fled out the back door and was last seen running towards Creery Ave. An unknown amount of jewellery was reported stolen. Police have a brief description of the suspect. He is described as: male, with long light coloured hair – balding at the back, wearing a long sleeved shirt and carrying a large brown envelope. Anyone having seen this male or with more information is asked to call Crimestoppers or the City Police.
Break & Enter On Nicolas Ave
Another daytime Break and Enter was reported yesterday to City Police. This entry was to a residence in the 100 block of Nicolas Ave. Culprit(s) stole a quantity of jewellery. The public is reminded to report any suspicious activity or persons wandering or loitering on your street.
