OUTSTANDING ARREST WARRANTS

Neil Merle Shawana, age 21 of 244 Queen Street East will appear in bail court this morning after patrol officers executed outstanding arrest warrants yesterday. Mr. Shawana was wanted for failing to attend court, failing to appear for fingerprints, failing to re-attend court and breach of probation. Mr. Shawana was located at a residence in the 700 block of Second Line West.

ALLEGED DOMESTIC DISPUTE

A 44 year-old man will appear in bail court this morning after an alleged domestic dispute yesterday afternoon. The male is reported to have attended at the apartment of the victim and while there pushed the victim into a wall. The accused male was also on a probation order at the time of this offence to keep the peace and be good. There were no injuries reported.

2 COUNTS OF POSSESSION

22 year-old Laura Roberts is scheduled to appear in court on May 17th and is charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. Drug unit officers executed a search warrant at Roberts’s residence of 19 St. Georges Avenue West on the 19th of April. It is alleged that Ms. Roberts was in possession of a small amount of cannabis resin and a small amount of cannabis marihuana. Drug paraphernalia was also seized during the search of the residence.

MISCHIEF CHARGES

19 year-old Paul Michael Joseph of 32 Elmwood Street was arrested and charged with mischief last night at 9:15 pm after he drove a vehicle into a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Peoples Road. Mr. Joseph is alleged to have intentionally smashed into the parked vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. The vehicle that Mr. Joseph was their residence. A court date of May 31st has been set with respect to these 2 charges operating is reported to be uninsured at the time of this incident. Mr. Joseph is scheduled to appear in court on May 31st.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

A domestic dispute in the city’s west end has resulted in a 39 year-old man being arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault. The accused is alleged to have punched his victim on the 18th of April and then on the 21st of April he grabbed and shook the victim in the driveway of. their residence. A court date of May 31st has been set.
