On April 26, 2020 officers with Patrol Services and Investigation Services arrested 48-year-old Tracy Deruiter, 41-year-old Christopher Gallucci and 35-year-old Sarah Willie, all of Thunder Bay, with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

At 10:15 p.m. officers were in the 600 block of Trunk Road conducting property checks on local businesses when they saw two vehicles parked in a parking lot. The trunk on each vehicle was open.

Officers approached to determine why there were two vehicles in an empty business parking lot. One of the vehicles fled the area at a high rate of speed. Ms. Deruiter and Mr. Gallucci were standing next to the other vehicle and Ms. Willie was seated in the driver’s seat.

As officers approached they observed several clear bags containing a substance believed to be crack cocaine on the ground near the vehicle. At this time all three of the accused were arrested.

A subsequent search of the vehicle and the three accused found them to be in possession of 6.9 grams of cocaine, 122.7 grams of crack cocaine and $480 in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $12,940.

The three accused are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. The three accused are scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2020.
