A 32-year-old has been arrested for a garage break-in that occurred over the weekend on White Oak Drive.

On Monday, a person phoned 911 to report the incident, which Sault Police say occurred the day before.

“An investigation revealed the accused had broken into the garage of someone known to them, causing damage,” says a news release issued Tuesday by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

The suspect was located around 2:30 p.m. and arrested, police say.

Cody Triplett is charged with one count of break and enter.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on Nov. 18, 2024.

The allegation has not been tested in court and Triplett is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
