One person is facing charges in two incidents three months apart.
Sault Ste. Marie Police officers were called to a disturbance shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.
When officers arrived at the multi-unit residential building in the 800 block of Trunk Road, the suspect was already gone.
Police say when the suspect was told they were not welcome, they kicked the door in, swung their fists, lunged at one of the victims and broke two windows.
The victims weren’t physically injured. After the incident, police obtained a warrant to arrest the suspect.
Then at around 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, police were called to an assault at a home in the 100 block of Anna Street.
“An investigation revealed the accused caused damage to the victim’s door by banging on it and threw a broom at their head when they opened the door,” said police in a news release.
“The victim sustained physical injuries and was transported to hospital. The victim and accused are known to one another.”
The suspect had already left the residence, but was arrested nearby.
Cody Boissoneau, 25, has been charged with:
