Arrest A 19 year old male was removed from a central area residence when police attended regarding a Domestic dispute. The Male was subsequently charged with Mischief under $5000 for causing damage to that residence.

Arrest

A 19 year old male was removed from a central area residence when police attended regarding a Domestic dispute. The Male was subsequently charged with Mischief under $5000 for causing damage to that residence. He will appear in provincial court on June 19th.

Break and Enters

Numerous vehicles were entered overnight in both the west end and downtown areas. 13 incidents were reported and included several vehicles being damaged by forced entry. Items reported stolen included change, wallets, electronics and personal papers. 

Mischief

A residence on Ravina Street was egged overnight causing damage to the home’s exterior finishes

Theft

43 year old Carla Barton of 1 Early Morning Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie will be appearing in court on June 17, 2013.  It is alleged that on May 18th she was at the Wal-Mart on Great Northern Road where she selected a wallet, 2 t-shirts and 2 pairs of shorts, concealed them in her purse, and then left the store without paying.  She is charged with one count of theft under $5000.

49 year old David Chapman of 283 Wellington Street West was charged with one count of theft under $5000.  It is alleged that on May 18 2013 the accused was at R.J.’s Market where he concealed a pound of bacon valued at $3.99 in his clothing and left the store without paying for it.  He will be appearing in court on June 17.

Assault

On May 19th 2013 a female attended at the Sault Ste. Marie Police station and reported that in the early morning hours of May 19th she was had become involved in altercation with a woman known to her and during the course of the fight she had been bitten in the face and kicked in the head.  She had attended at the hospital and received treatment for non life threatening injuries.  As a result of the investigation 34 year old Jennifer Madigan of 117 Lorna Drive has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.  She will be appearing in court on June 24.
