City Police Sergeant Steve Train says it was a fairly quiet twenty-four hour period.

Police responded to a “domestic dispute” call at 8:30 last night. A 36-year-old male allegedly assaulted a female in the central part of the city. No injuries were reported.

The male then left the female’s apartment and travelled to his own place of residence where he got into an argument with his landlord. During the argument, the accused caused some damage by walking on her car.

Between the two incidents, police have charged him with assault, assault with a weapon, threatening, being unlawfully in a dwelling, and mischief. He goes to bail court tomorrow.
