MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID
City police investigated an assault complaint that occurred on Friday. As a result, yesterday morning at 11:00, they arrested 24-year-old Brian Essan of 310 Selby. It is alleged that Essan went to his former girlfriends and assaulted her by striking her in the face. It is also alleged that he stole a driver’s licence, a bankcard, and a phone receiver.
Police have charged him with being in a dwelling unlawfully, assault, theft, and breach of probation. He has been remanded to bail court tomorrow
R.I.D.E. PROGRAM
City police conducted a RIDE program for five ours yesterday. Staff Sgt. D’Arcy Keating reports that 650 vehicles were checked with 18 roadside tests being administered. Only three 12-hour suspensions were handed out and no impaired charges laid.
