Angel has a home

The found angel from the earlier news release was discovered to be a surprise Christmas gift dropped off overnight to the citizen who turned it in to police.

Break and enter

A break and enter was reported in the 900 block of North St. when a family member attended to check the residence.  The house is described as ransacked.  Entry was gained through a bedroom window between Friday afternoon and 3:00 p.m. today.  A gun locker has been entered and it is believed four long guns and one .22 calibre handgun have been stolen pending confirmation and return of the homeowners.

Found Angel

An angel has been turned into the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.  A resident from Centennial Drive turned in a four foot white and gold animated angel decoration that appears to have been taken from it's home.  The owner can contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705 949-6300 to claim it.

Ride Program

Sault Ste. Police Officers set up RIDE in various locations throughout the city on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.  Over 500 vehicles were checked and 5 drivers submitted breath tests.  No charges were laid.
