A 33-year-old woman from London, Ont. has been charged with break and enter after a home in the 500 block of Shannon Road was entered earlier this month.

A release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Wednesday afternoon says that the accused was seen in the area on Aug. 5 and allegedly entered a residence and stole approximately $3,000 worth of jewellery and $12 in U.S. currency.

Following an investigation, officers located Katelynn Ward in the 0-100 block of Queen Street E. at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday.

She was subsequently arrested and charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000.

The jewellery reported stolen was not found at the time of the arrest and Ward is scheduled to appear in court in early October.
