South Market police presence reaction to home invasion say police

On Nov. 2, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division and the Break and Enter Unit of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested three individuals as a result of a break and enter and robbery.

It is alleged that around 10:30 a.m. 31-year-old Tyler Ross of Trunk Road, 21-year-old Brady Gauvreau of Anna Street and 35-year-old Jason Gilbert of Vera Street attended the residence of a person known to them in the 100 block of South Market Street and entered the residence. 

The home owners were home and the accused males, who were armed with a bat, began demanding items from the residence. 

The males took various items while threatening the people inside. Police arrived a short time later and all three males were taken into custody. 

They have all been charged with one count of break and enter and one count of robbery. Mr. Ross and Mr. Gauvreau were held for WASH court. Mr. Gilbert will appear in court on Dec. 3, 2018.
